Satlantic celebrated Dalhousie Oceans Week with the launch of the Halifax Marine Research Institute (HMRI) on Thursday. The initiative builds on creative ideas and collaborative efforts from a number of partners from industry, government and the post secondary education system. " The Halifax Marine Research Institute will enable the barriers to be dropped, maybe not completely be put away but at least dropped and allow the partners to come together and to produce a kind of synergy such as the success of Satlantic, " says Dr. Marlon Lewis, President of Satlantic. The HMRI was formally launched during Dalhousie Oceans Week and Satlantic is proud to be one of the founding members.
